Donations

The Opulent Temple recently finished up it's 5 year in a row on the playa. In term of our production and crowds that enjoyed our creation, it was our biggest and best year ever! Sadly, despite our best efforts we are massively in debt. We will not be able to come back in 2008 unless we get wide community suport to pay down our debt. Like all sound & art camps, we are totally self funded by fundraising parties, camp members paying dues, and most importantly, the support of the wider Burning Man community. To that end, we want to ask you to please make a donation to our efforts to bring you sonic joy and community peak experience on the playa.

Unlike other art projects and installations (which we certainly consider ourselves to be), sound camps receive no financial support from the Burning Man organization despite having massive budgets and providing interactive art zones among the most popular out there.

So that you know, our budget goes towards fabrication and production costs, transportation, power / gennie rental, sound rental, camp infrastructure, and storage costs. We do not and have never paid dj's to play or pay their way through Burning Man. So please know your donations are going to help us pay back our hard costs and not anyones free ride. SO! Please help.
