Come celebrate peace, creativity, and weirdness at the 22nd annual How Weird Street Faire. Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, How Weird features music and art, a unique and quirky marketplace, performances, and a wide range of excitement. Join thousands of people in colorful attire dancing in the streets at 8 different stages of dance music. This year’s theme is “Eternal Return.” Come dressed in your weirdest costume!
 
It’s time to dance!
The How Weird Street Faire showcases some of the best electronic dance music played on some of the world’s most advanced sound technology. Cutting-edge artists from across the Bay Area provide an unforgettable dance experience.

Art Alley will be expanded this year, located on both sides of Minna Street Street. Stroll the legendary open air gallery, and be inspired by the abundance of creativity. There will be visionary artists from around the Bay Area, along with the nearby sounds of dub music.
 
The How Weird Marketplace
The How Weird Street Faire is filled with vendors from around the world selling unique and designer goods. From clothing to art to jewelry and accessories, you can find interesting things and new styles. How Weird features an unusually diverse shopping experience that you won’t find anywhere else.

Guests are required to reserve a table for entry. All Tables are first-come first-served by section ( VIP & General Admission Sections ). VIP Tables offer prime seating in front of the stage. Madam Zola’s Fortune, The Midway’s onsite café will be serving up delicious winter-themed bites and bottles you can order from your phone directly to your table.
 
Outdoor Dining Guidlines
Guests:
  • Guests are required to wear face coverings at all times unless actively eating/drinking.
  • Guests must remain at their tables unless they are picking up food/drinks or using the restroom.
  • Each table reservation includes a seat for 4 guests. No more than 4 guests can occupy a table or the space around a table at a time.
  • Guests are not permitted to congregate in aisle-ways, between tables, or at food/beverage pick up.
Venue:
  • All Personnel are required to use Face Coverings as required by the Face Covering Order, wash hands frequently, and maintain a physical distance of at least 6-feet to the extent possible.
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the dining area. Contactless ordering & payment are encouraged.
  • The Midway is in compliance with all SF DPH Health orders as they pertain to outdoor dining. Additional information is available upon request.
  • Designated areas/lines with markings are on the ground to indicate both directions and six-foot distancing.

The Midway’s annual New Year celebration returns for three days with 4 indoor and outdoor stages. Fresh Start is our chance to welcome and celebrate new beginnings in 2022. While you’re on-site, be sure to enjoy the delicious food and drinks at our cafe Madam Zola’s, and from a variety of SF’s local food trucks. Explore a fully decked-out art gallery and VIP experience. Dance at 4 uniquely crafted stages + the Heavy Petting Zoo art car. Expect the biggest Fresh Start line-up to date with curated stages and more from some of our favorite crews like Space Yacht, All Day All Night, G Code, Heavy Petting Zoo, Set Underground, and Opulent Temple.
