Opulent Temple Send-Off Party with Ali B

Saturday, August 16, 2008

1337 Mission St #67, San Francisco, CA 94103

We’re almost there, and it’s just about time to return to our own annual pilgrimage to the desert. The OT has gotten awesome support from the community to help us return for what is set to be our best year yet! Please come out in support and celebration, as we bring the San Francisco debut of UK breaks taste maker Ali B (Fabric / Air, London, UK).

Check out the POCAST

n true Burning Man fashion, Ali B kicks off with a politically charged message “Time For the Revolution” to build up momentum backed by techno-tastic beats.
His set encompasses a truly diverse range of electronic genres, from techno to breaks to electro to blips and beeps and back to breaks, taking us on a very twisted trip. His presence behind the decks is super-charged and full of energy.

“Yep, Burning Man is one of a kind,” nods Ali. “The desert is like a big blank canvas or the white walls of a gallery and for one week a year it gets filled to the brim with all sorts of crazy stuff – moving and stationary artwork, music, crazy vehicles, bikes, costumes and lots of fire.” Ali B, founder of Air Recordings, definitely adds a big splash of modern edge with his colorful brand of raw funk.

The Opulent Temple Send Off Party & Line Up sneak peek 2007

Saturday, August 11, 2007

1337 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94103

We’re almost there. We’ve been working our asses off on our bamboo Synergy Dome & our elevated Star Stage. Time to blow off some steam and share some juice. Saturday night at Shine we’ll be giving out a limited number of little cards (recycled paper, soy based ink, of course) with our line up so you’ll always know what’s up at the O.T. It’s a sneak peek of the legendary nights to come in the very near future. We’ve got something special to share in just about every genre. The most talent & most well rounded line up to date. O’ ya, and of course we’ll play some sick tunes while you’re there !

We’re tired of asking for your money so this party is free. (Donations accepted, of course…)

A Dance with Bacchus 2005

Saturday, July 23, 2005

10:00PM – 4:15AM

Terra Gallery

511 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94105

Opulent Temple presents: A Dance with Bacchus. A playa bound gathering of Dyonisian revelry.

A toga party meets Burning Man camp fundraiser. The last step into the Psyche. The wine will flow in abundance (and cheap) to get you in the spirit, with a carnival atmosphere of performance, dance, ceremony, decadence, and quality freaks. A true gathering of the musical collective conscious, with 2 rooms of music + chill space. To ensure we don’t have sound restrictions or a bust factor- this party has moved to the Terra Gallery. Please tell a friend!

Moving from playa dreams to reality only happens with the support of the community. The Opulent Temple of Venus has a great project this year with something for everyone in Black Rock City. Thanks for your support!
