Infected Mushroom Bio:

To pioneer your own sub genre of electronic music in the music industry today is no simple task, it is essentially equivalent to Chuck Berry inventing Rock music in 1955 or Massive Attack effectively originating Trip Hop in 1983 . . .

Electronic music, mega-revolutionaries Infected Mushroom are renowned for being the sonic innovators of crafting hypnotic arrangements, complex layered melodies and synthetic rhythms known as “Psychedelic Trance,” leaving behind all their dying “Trance” cousins in the mainstream… Twice ranked as the world’s “10 Best DJ’s” by the Bible of the Scene (U.K.’s DJ Magazine), the Israel-bred, L.A. based duo Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen have established their self invented genre among the highest in the scene.  One could easily scour pages of the Internet in vain to find the epic level of music history defining the Infected Mushroom “kingdom.” Their most notable achievements include: 1999 breakthrough debut album, The Gathering, which gained immediate attention on club dance floors and in the hands of Goa/Psy-Trance DJ’s…

Fast >> 2007’s their critically acclaimed and highest-grossing album Vicious Delicious, catapulted the duo onto new levels. The success of that album was met with high anticipation for another which was dropped in 2009 with the The Legend of the Black Shawrama. The album included noteworthy hit track, Smashing the Opponent, for featuring guest vocals by legendary Korn lead Jonathan Davis. By no coincidence on the title, did Smashing the Opponent album-hit #8 on the Billboard charts. If that’s not impressive enough—there is the band’s average 120 live performances a year including, repeat, sold-out shows from the Ultra Fest in Miami to the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, from Mexico’s OMIX to Cali’s Coachella, to Brazil’s Ipanema Beach, and from Melbourne’s Metro Club to the 2009 and 2011 Burningman Festival in Black Rock City for Opulent Temple, Nevada. Not to mention collaborations with big Rock legends; Ray Manzarek (The Doors), Perry Farrell (Jane’s addiction) and then their insane amount (roughly 14,000,000) hits on You Tube simply cannot go without mention…

The best is always yet to come with Erez and Duvdev; in early 2012 they released the Army of Mushrooms, their most multifaceted electronic album delivery to date since 2009’s “Legend of the Black Shawarma.” Army of Mushroom’s doesn’t hold back for a second, doing what the guys “do best”−invent, experiment, create, re-arrange, production is truly one of a kind. Stimulating 3D mapped visuals are landscaped onto “pods”, projecting psychedelic visuals that become the backdrop for enigmatic vocals, hypnotic arrangements, and psy-trippy synthetic rhythms…

Adoring fans continue to descend below Infected’s stage en masseat festivals and stadiums shows–Nocturnal Wonderland (Texas/Los Angeles), World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) in Canada, Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, Nevada), and the Opulent Temple at Burningman (Black Rock City, Nevada). All walks of life to experience Infected Mushroom, the world’s greatest Psy-Trance band of the decade.

Burning Man 2016

10:00 & Donatello

Opulent Temple returns, for Chapter 14 at Burningman, to bring our vision of sacred dance to world class music in the desert. Thanks for taking this ride with us! We still give the gift of the extensive effort because of the community and the co-created vibe. Our goal is to connect and awaken, and to bring that back into the default world all year round. Especially in an election year, the need for conscious people taking action is a responsibility we all share.

We’re not trying to be the biggest and the baddest this year, but just do our Opulent thing and bring our vibe and invite anyone that wants to come find us to be a part of it. (So come find us at 10&D) Thank you all for your on going support of us and our events so that we can be here to do what we do. See you on the dance floor, under the stars and the fire.

See you at 10:00 & Donatello

If ancient tribal warriors could listen to a dj during their nightly bonfire parties, they’d probably listen to ELiKi.

ELiKi has been working with music since he could hardly remember. From Mastering all types of instruments, to being a front man in a punk rock band, to starting a hip hop crew, he’s done it all. A recent addition to the Opulent Temple group of resident DJs, EliKi brings to the table a nice blend of house and techno to keep the hips shaking and the vibe sexy.

To free you from the self using that split second on the dance floor when you forget you are a person and you become one with the sound waves” and rest assured his thumping progressive and techno style come through and accomplish just that.

Drawing influence from travels around the world, Asia to Africa, Europe and South America, JB Vries’ motivations have always been based in rhythm and melody. Growing up in the Midwest United States he knew early on his life’s direction would be a musical one and with this in mind he took his show on the road. While studying Audio Engineering in Florida, he began learning the art mixing in the studio as well as a DJ in the Orlando nightclub and underground dance scene.

Producing a variety of dance genres, all with a driving and psychedelic undertone, JB has his sights set on bringing his flavor of progressive dance music to festivals and nightclubs the world over. Today, JB lives in San Francisco where he continues to perform, produce, and progress. Connect with JB and jump on his mailing list for free downloads and DJ sets direct to your mailbox.

“I can still clearly remember the day I discovered electronic music. Standing in front of a speaker (still my favorite place), at a Friends and Family party in San Francisco. Something clicked, it made sense. While a lot of memories fade over time, that one doesn’t. The hard part came next. I knew I needed more of this music, but where to start? It wasn’t until a co-worker gave me Dave Seaman’s Renaissance Awakening that I knew where I wanted to be, and have never looked back. I’m now the guy will reply with a blank stare if asked about current non-electronic music.”

Matt’s weapon of choice is Ableton Live. If one can think it, one can probably do it with this software, with enough work. Creativity is the only limiting factor. Matt’s been using Ableton for a three year’s at this point, and has only begun to crack into its possibilities. His mixes are frequently featured on Frisky Radio and the ProgressiveHouse.com’s ProgCast. He is a regular contributor at www.AbletonLiveDj.com, a website dedicated to increasing the knowledge pool centered around using Ableton Live as a DJ tool.

Matt got involved with Opulent Temple at Burning Man in 2005 and has been playing with them since. He digs the thriving underground scene in San Francisco and enjoys the open-minded, conscious people that are drawn to electronic music.

“I take pride in making each mix a standalone story. Making each mix its own ride allows me to not be tied down to a particular style, and keeps things fresh. I feel alive when mixing, and hope the listener enjoys what I’m trying to say.”
